What Happens First at a Cosmetic Surgery Consultation?
At the start of your consultation, our nurse will review your medical history, talk through your procedure goals, and take clinical photographs. These images are an important part of your consultation and surgical process. In our Lexington office, we offer computer imaging to help you visualize what you might look like after your procedure.
What Happens During a Cosmetic Surgery Consultation With Dr. Nimtz?
During a cosmetic surgery consultation at Commonwealth Plastic Surgery, you’ll meet with a dedicated patient care coordinator and Dr. Nimtz, our board-certified plastic surgeon. Together, we’ll discuss your goals, review your options, and Dr. Nimtz will share personalized recommendations for your procedure.
For example, for a breast augmentation procedure, Dr. Nimtz will discuss the different types of breast implants that are available and provide a few samples that you can touch and feel. We also have various sizers for you to try on, so you can determine the final look that you wish to achieve. Dr. Nimtz will educate you on both the surgical procedure and postoperative healing.
What Happens After Your Cosmetic Surgery Consultation?
After your consultation, you’ll receive a personalized treatment plan, confirm your options, and receive clear next steps to help you move forward with confidence. Dr. Nimtz will review your computer imaging and details of your procedure with you, ensuring you have realistic expectations about what to expect. Lastly, our patient care coordinator will go over the surgical cost estimate and possible financing options for the surgeon’s fee, operating room fee, and anesthesia fee.
